My favorite baby products

Today we talk about some of my favorite baby items over the past 7 months. There might be a part 2 coming. There are tons of good baby products that I love and as Lincoln gets older, they’ll be things catered to his age that I could share as well. For now let’s get started with part 1!!

BABY WEAR– I’ve seen lots of moms baby wear. Before pregnancy, on social media, in real life. And while I was pregnant, we made my first baby related purchase which was this baby sling. I say we because my mom bought it for me as a gift. I just picked out the color. I was very excited about it.

I do have two options to share. I couldn’t decide which one to share simply because I love them equally for slightly different reasons.

This first one is the Ergonomic carrier. I bought this one a few months after Lincoln was born. This has a backpack feel but facing forward. You place both straps on each shoulder. It has buckles to fasten. It’s also adjustable with the different straps and buckles on your back and towards the front to tighten accordingly. It holds up to 40lbs. It’s very easy to secure and super comfy for both you and baby. I know that Lincoln loves this one. He fell asleep the first time I tried it out within seconds. Also comes with instructions because the many straps get confusing. I know that I was for sure.

This one is this sling from Wild Bird. I got it in this teal color.

This one is very different from the Ergonomic in appearance and function in terms of setup. I love how different it is from other carriers out there though. Hence why I was pretty intrigued by it anytime it would pop up on my Instagram.

This sling has these 2 black rings(from the photo above). And these rings are what hold and adjust the sling. When I first received this in the mail I attempted to try it on that day. And I was struggling which resulted in a lot of doubts. I found that their site/instagram has how to videos which was super helpful because there was no way I would’ve figured it out without them. I recommend watching those if you’re interested in this one. Basically it goes over your head and you would put the side that has those rings on the opposite side that you prefer holding your baby. For me that was my left. And once you put baby in, they should be in a sitting position facing you. And then adjust accordingly.

He’s clearly not amused by the pictures

I love both of these. I use them equally or try to as much as I can. If I had anything negative to say it would be that my lower back begins to hurt pretty quickly but that is probably cause Lincoln is a heavy little guy or I’m just not that strong. So if you have a not so tiny baby or have my strength, then be prepared for some minor back pain.

HIGH CHAIR– I saw this high chair on an Instagram ad. That is what happens when your phone uses your search history to give you the ads you want to see. Let’s just say the ad got me. This one is by the brand Lalo. It is a little pricey but trust me it’s worth the investment. It turns into a play chair for the toddler years. Already multipurpose. It came with the legs and everything to set that up when the time comes. It looks good in the house. Super lightweight. Easy to clean. The seat cushion is machine washable. Also comes in a few other colors if you’re not feeling the green. But i love green anything

PACI CLIP– This pacifier clip is part of the Chico brand and I love it. I worry about losing anything so this is a lifesaver. This blue binky is also Lincoln’s favorite so we won’t be losing it. This just clips onto their shirt or to the straps in the car seat/stroller and it won’t ever get lost. My mom purchased this for me but I did find the Amazon link

BOTTLES- These are essential. But there’s so many brands/types to choose from. And if this is your first time how do you choose? Or if you’re wanting to switch brands. I really relied on the opinions of other parents and online reviews. I always check out the reviews. I use both the Avent and MAM brands. They both reduce colic and they both release liquid slowly. Which is super helpful because Lincoln drinks like he hasn’t all day. Like other bottles, the nipples on both of these come in different sizes so when Lincoln is a little older, we can just switch them out. One of my favorite things about the Avent brand is that it comes with a sterilizer. Can be bought together with a few bottles to get you started or separately. We’ll use the sterilizer once in awhile to give the bottles that extra clean feeling. I think both of these options are good ones to consider. With so many options out there I hope this helps narrow it down or make the decision making easier

TEETHING TOY– Lincoln loves these. It makes noise so he loves shaking it and he can chew on for the gums. Sometimes I bring these on any sort of outing and it keeps him entertained for a long while.

BOTTLE BRUSH CLEANER/SOAP– These are another purchase from my mom. Thankful for that. This combo is so good. The brush + the soap gives it a deep clean. And I’m always concerned if the bottles are clean enough for Lincoln. Hence the sterilizer from earlier but that’s not being used all the time and I wouldn’t want to to be honest. There’s already so many things to do. So to have these together helps until the next sterilization session.

BATH TUB- This tub is my favorite thing. It’s a blue whale. Also comes in grey. I left the Amazon link below. This tub is super lightweight. Even has a little handle to move and store it wherever. Also is a 3 stage tub. This mesh is perfect for newborns. It converts to a little seat for when they’re 3-6 months and then you can take off the mesh when they reach 6 months. And the tub itself is pretty deep. Not too much but I like that little feature because Lincoln is a splashed and now that he’s is past 6 months, he can use it without the mesh and he is so mobile now that I can fill up the tub pretty good for him to splash a ton. He loves water so might as well give him plenty.

BEANIE– I love beanies on babies. Makes me appreciate the 4 seasons here. This site (linked below) has so many good colors and they are really good quality. It’s called slouch headwear. I found them on Instagram and I’m so happy I did. I got the color oat. They also have toddler sizes. I will definitely be buying more as Lincoln grows up.

So that is it for part 1. There are so many good baby things so it was tough to narrow down. Hopefully this was helpful to you in some way. I know that for me, I’m super indecisive so a look at what others are saying is much appreciated. There are many more things that I would love to share. So be on the look out for part 2. It has been really fun going through some of mine and Lincoln’s favorite things. Until the next post.
